Aadhaar Card Update: Free Update Offer Ends March 14; Here's How
The deadline for availing the free Aadhaar card update is fast approaching. In December 2023, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) extended the deadline for free updates to Aadhaar. You have until March 14 to update your Aadhaar details without incurring any charges. Currently, the myAadhaar portal is the sole platform for availing this free service, while offline updates attract a nominal fee of ₹50.
Due to the overwhelming response from residents, we have decided to extend the free update facility for an additional three months, from December 15, 2023, to March 14, 2024. Accordingly, updating documents will remain free of cost through the myAadhaar portal, stated UIDAI.
What details can you update on your Aadhaar Card?
You can update various details such as name, address, photo, and more on the UIDAI website for free until March 14. If you opt to visit Common Services Centres (CSC), a nominal fee of ₹50 will be charged for updating your Aadhaar Card details.
