Live Updates on Bengaluru News (January 1): According to a Health Department bulletin, Karnataka reported 229 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases in the state to 1000. Following the current surge in instances, the overall number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state has surpassed ten.

In other events, sources claimed on Sunday that the CBI has sent a notice to the Jaihind channel, which is based in Kerala, requesting information about the investments made in the channel by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in relation to a case involving disproportionate assets against the Congressman.
